Tell Congress: Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

March 4th, 2007

It is estimated that at least 65,000 lesbian, gay and bisexual Americans are currently serving in the U.S. Military.

More than 10,000 service members have been discharged under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

This policy has cost a minimum of $191 million.

The Military Readiness Enhancement Act - the measure that seeks to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” - has been re-introduced in the US House of Representatives. This measure would remove the ban on gay, lesbian and bisexual troops and allow them to serve openly in the military.

You can also take the time to write a letter yourself to your congressional representative. If you are a veteran, military personnel, or a family member of military personnel, share your story.

We will submit the names of everyone who signs our petition to all of the appropriate Congressional Representatives. The more signatures the louder our voice and the more attention we will get. Please help us end this discrimination against fellow citizens who are willing to serve their country but choose no to or have to live in fear because they are not permitted to serve openly as themselves.

Please lend your support and pass this along to anyone who values fairness and true equality. Please join ChicoMax in the fight for human rights and dignity.
